For many retirees, booking in some travel time is top of the list of what's next. But which places are the best to visit? A new study by insurance site Paying Too Much has looked at cities from all over the globe to find the top picks for retirees over 60. The study looked at hotel ratings and their cost, quality of healthcare, walking routes and things to do to keep busy on vacation.

Three Aussie cities nagged spots in the top 10 – but which came out on top? Read on to find out.  Starting off the top 10 list is Singapore. The city is home to 301 hotels with more than a three star rating – including the famous Marina Bay Sands hotel pictured here.

As well as having many walking routes for retirees to see Singapore, the city has lots of buzzing attractions and activities. As pictured, the Gardens by the Bay nature park is one of the most well-known and popular attractions for travellers which boasts scenic views. Next on the list is the first Europe entry – Bavaria's capital Munich.

Munich ranked with a high quality of healthcare, though the average costs of hotels is on the steeper side of the list. There's lots of things to do and see in Munich, including many markets on offer. The Viktualienmarkt is one of the top attractions listed for foodies to test Germany's fresh produce.
