They were one of the most iconic bands of the 90s and it seems The Prodigy haven't lost their touch when they headlined at the Isle Of Wight Festival . Playing some of their legendary songs including Breathe and Out of Space, the group sent the crowd wild at Seaclose Park in Newport. But it was when they showcased a laser projection of the late frontman Keith Flint, who died in 2019, dancing to Firestarter, that the crowd erupted with joy.
The tribute has been dubbed a special moment for not only the band but also fans of the legendary group who took the music scene by storm at the time. An inquest at the time of the singer's tragic death said that an unspecified amount of cocaine, alcohol and codeine was found in his system at the time, according to the BBC . Chelmsford Coroner's Court heard that Keith died due to hanging. Senior Coroner for Essex, Caroline Beasley-Murray was unable to record a conclusive decision of his death as there was reportedly not enough evidence to say he had intended to commit suicide. Keith was found by a close pal.
The senior Coroner said at the time: "We will never quite know what was going on in his mind on that date. I've considered suicide. To record that, I would have to have found that, on the balance of probabilities, Mr Flint formed the idea and took a deliberate action knowing it would result in his death.
