BAXTER — The Lofts on Novotny in Baxter are filling quickly barely a month after the 64-unit, three-story apartment building opened. The Lofts on Novotny, near Jack Pine Brewery, represent the first project outside of Florida for the Corner Lot developers. They describe the units as apartment homes.
“When Corner Lot began to consider development opportunities outside of Florida, Central Minnesota was one of the first places we looked.” said Andy Allen, Corner Lot CEO, in a news release when the project was announced. “That part of the country is near and dear to my family, and we spend a large part of our summers in the region.
People are drawn to a lifestyle of outdoor activities, and Crow Wing County has so much to offer.” Sonny LeBron, asset manager for Corner Lot Living, and others behind the development from Jacksonville, Florida, were recently at The Lofts to welcome dignitaries for a tour of the building and a look at the units and commons areas. ADVERTISEMENT “We're very excited to show off our beautiful Lofts on Novotny,” LeBron said.
“It's taken lots of hard-earned work, tears and blood,” LeBron said. The community room was designed to be cabin chic — a little upper class but also comfortable. LeBron said they worked with Industry West, a furniture company they work with on projects in Florida to get the look.
“And we've gotten lots of really great feedback from our residents, you know, they can come down here and play some Pac-Man, or, you kno.
