TAKE a look at the outdoor tidal pool with a lifeguard on duty in the summer months and amazing sunset views. The free pool is located on Shore Road in the waters of Blacksod Bay in Belmullet, Co Mayo . Just a short walk from the town centre, it is the perfect addition to a day out.
It has a toddler's section for the younger ones, and a deeper section for the more experienced swimmers . A lifeguard is on duty during the months of July and August. They also provide swimming and safety lessons for children while the lifeguard is on duty.

It is filled by high tide water, and both ends of the pool are accessible with ladders. The pool is free and can be accessed all year round, but without lifeguards apart from in July and August. Parking is available for pool users only, or you can park in Belmullet town centre.
