He thought it was a good idea when he first decided to dance, non-stop, for a whole day. Now dance teacher Fraser Murray has realised he is going to have his work cut out when he carries out his 24-hour danceathon in aid of Kimberley Performing Arts Centre (KPAC). Fraser is inviting dancers who attend classes at the centre, in Enderby Road, Scunthorpe, to pay to join him for stints during his dizzying challenge, which will run from noon on Thursday, May 30, until noon the following day.
“The closer it gets, the more nervous I am becoming,” said Fraser, who has set himself a target of raising £1,000 for KPAC and has a GoFundMe page where people can support him. “We’re slowly raising the money for a new building – it’s about £1m we need – and we hold lots of things like Christmas events, summer fairs and we’ve had a Strictly Come Dancing night.
