Businesses in Darlington are offering water bottle refills and we have looked at every location you can resort to when it gets hot this summer. A nationwide scheme offering people free tap water has been launched across the country and more than 30 local businesses have already signed up. There are more than 15,000 places you can now get free water from across the UK.

The aim is to stop plastic pollution and encourage people to reuse their water bottles. How does it work? The Refill project encourages businesses to sign up to the app where people can find out where they can fill up their water bottles for free in the city. The Refill app is available for download for free on both Google Play and the App Store.

Where can you get free water in Darlington? In total, there are 43 businesses confirmed and signed up so far. You can go to each of these, and fill up your water bottles with tap water - at no cost. Here are the 43 signed-up businesses.
