: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in an interaction program on quality engineering education at JNTU-H on Saturday. He highlighted that the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy had introduced fee reimbursement to help poor students’ access quality education. Despite delays in fee reimbursement arrears, the government, under Minister Sridhar Babu, is committed to clearing these payments on time this academic year.

Reddy emphasized the crucial role of engineers in creating state-of-the-art structures worldwide. He urged that engineering colleges should not be factories producing unemployed youth but should focus on creating employment and building the country's future. He also stressed that engineering institutions should not only create jobs but also intellectuals, and all engineering disciplines, including civil and mechanical engineering, should be encouraged alongside computer science.

As part of skill development, the government is revamping ITIs with a Rs. 2400 crore investment in partnership with Tata. Revanth mentioned that after Pharma and IT, Artificial Intelligence is poised to lead globally.

The government plans to establish a skill development university to prepare Telangana's youth for global competition. Additionally, Reddy assured that the government is proceeding with scheduled exams, including DSC, TGPSC, Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3 recruitment exams, despite attempts by vested interests to obstruct them.
