Taylor Swift brought The Eras Tour to Cardiff on June 18. The singer is currently on the UK leg of her international portion of The Eras Tour. She performed at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital for one night only to more than 70,000 fans.

Paramore opened the show for her at 6 pm and Taylor came on not long afterwards starting her set at 7 pm. While kicking off the show with hit songs Miss Americana, The Heartbreak Prince and Cruel Summer and adorned in a sparkly outfit, she added a surprise to the audience. She greeted the crowd with a "Hiya" in a Welsh accent and after Cruel Summer, she yelled "Shwmae (Hello!) with a wave.

Then she went further by delivering a full Welsh sentence to the screaming audience: "Croeso i'r daith Eras!" ("Welcome to the Eras Tour!"). She gushed at the crowd later saying: "This crowd in Cardiff is one for the books. This crowd is different, you're another level!" One fan on X formerly on Twitter wrote, "Taylor swift speaking welsh in cardiff today is so slay considering how many people don’t realise we have our own language." .
