Presenters Alex Jones and Lauren Laverne kicked off Monday night's show by announcing Aljaz Skorjanec was making a comeback to Strictly. Aljaz previously hung up his dancing shoes in 2022, having danced through nine seasons, with his final performance taking place in 2021.
Speaking to viewers as she opened the show, Alex said: "We are starting the week with a huge announcement about Strictly." Lauren added: "Ahead of the new series and its 20th birthday we have some exclusive news that you will not want to miss." As the distinctive Strictly theme began to play, Alex shared the news.
She said: "That music can only mean one thing, it's time for the Strictly big announcement. We can tell you that there is a Strictly legend and former champion who will be coming back to the ballroom next series and they are with us now." The starlet shared: "I can exclusively reveal that it is the one and only Aljaz.
