Siem Reap provincial authority, along with Macro Market, is organizing a three-day Local Producers and Buyers Matching Forum and Local Products Exhibition to promote Cambodian products this weekend. The forum and exhibition will be held from June 21-23 in Macro Market in Siem Reap. Yun Linne, Siem Reap Deputy provincial governor and a vice chairman for the provincial committee of One Village One Product Movement, told Khmer Times yesterday that the Forum of Local Producers and Buyers Matching and Local Products Exhibition is an opportunity to encourage producers and buyers to meet and discuss to expand the market for local products.
“They will present their products and market of local products, as well as organize local producers, service providers and craftsmen in local to become members of the One Village, One Product movement committee,” he said. Linne went on to add that some provinces surrounding Siem Reap province will join this forum and exhibition, including Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, Banteay Meanchy and Oddor Meanchey provinces. Invitations to other provinces were sent, but they have not yet been confirmed.
