A SMALL UK airport has revealed plans to expand it's terminal amid a wave of new flights being launched. Bournemouth Airport is set to welcome as many as one million passengers this year, with a range of new routes. Ryanair launched new flights from the airport to Agadir in Morocco , while TUI launched thousands more seats from Bournemouth Airport to destinations across Greece and Spain , as well as launched a second aircraft.
And Jet2 confirmed the airport would become it's 12th UK base, with 16 new flights to launch from the airport next summer . This includes eight new Spanish destinations, four new flights to Greece and a number across Turkey and Portugal , with the first flights in April 2025 to Tenerife. Following the addition of flights, the airport is predicted to welcome one million passengers last year - the first time in 15 years.
The airport is now looking into expansion plans for it's only terminal to cope with the increased demand. A spokesman told local media : "With the fantastic news about Jet2 .com and Jet2holidays making Bournemouth their 12th UK airport base with the start of 16 routes from next April, we are looking at how we can invest to deliver the best possible customer experience to all passengers.
