A Green candidate hoping to keep hold of the party’s first and only seat says she wants to bring “hope” to the city and described Labour’s campaign as “dismal and depressing”. Sian Berry said it was a “unique thing” Brighton Pavilion residents did in first electing a Green MP in 2010 and promised she will continue her predecessor Caroline Lucas’s work to be the city’s “independent voice” if elected.
