ATHENS, Greece, June 8: Michael Mosley, a well-known doctor and television presenter, was reported missing after last being seen walking along a challenging mountainous path, according to rescue workers on Friday night. The focus of the investigation shifted when new CCTV footage, not previously disclosed to the media, captured Mosley entering the path around 2 pm on Wednesday from a house near a marina in the port village of Pedi. This path, a lengthy three-hour route back to his accommodations in the town of Symi, diverged from the more direct road route rescuers had previously searched between the two villages.

One rescuer expressed bewilderment at Mosley’s choice, considering the path’s difficulty and the potential for him to become disoriented. The search, conducted amid challenging conditions exacerbated by a heatwave, was halted at 8 pm Greek time on Friday and scheduled to resume on Saturday morning. Mosley’s disappearance occurred after he walked from St Nicholas Beach to the resort of Pedi on Wednesday afternoon.

Despite initial search efforts along a stretch of path from the beach to the village of Pedi, CCTV footage revealed he had completed his walk back to Pedi. As rescue operations continued, Mosley’s children flew to Greece to aid in the search. They planned to retrace his steps in hopes of uncovering clues about his whereabouts.

Meanwhile, local authorities, including coastguard personnel and police, deployed drones, .
