It was a championship parade for the ages as hundreds of thousands of the Celtics faithful descended in and around downtown Boston for the championship parade celebrating the franchise’s 18th title banner. Families and groups of friends crowded around TD Garden, along Cambridge Street, next to the Common and down Boylston Street to see the newly-minted NBA champs in full party mode, as close as they could possibly get. The Larry O’Brien trophy made an appearance, of course.

Jayson Tatum took off his shirt to a roaring crowd. A fake Jaylen Brown posed for pictures. There were plenty of duck boats.
