Thursday, June 6, 2024 Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s national flag carrier, and Virgin Atlantic have entered into a codeshare agreement set to take effect in June 2024. As members of the global SkyTeam alliance, this partnership will offer enhanced travel experiences and expanded route networks for both Saudia’s guests and Virgin Atlantic’s passengers, benefiting both the tourism and business sectors. The agreement facilitates a streamlined travel experience, allowing passengers to book flights on both airlines under one ticket, which simplifies the reservation process and ensures seamless baggage transfer to their final destination.

Frequent flyers will benefit from the ability to accrue and redeem miles across both airlines, including specific advantages for Saudia’s AlFursan members on Virgin Atlantic flights. This collaboration enables Saudia passengers to travel smoothly from Jeddah and Riyadh to ten destinations in the United States and the Caribbean through Heathrow and Manchester airports using Virgin Atlantic’s network. Conversely, Virgin Atlantic passengers from the United States can conveniently connect to Saudia’s services in Jeddah and Riyadh via London Heathrow and Manchester airports.
