SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Despite the brutal heat, many area residents came together earlier this week to celebrate the completion of the 1851 Alexander A.

Patterson House at the Revive 65 Celebration. Hosted by the Saratoga Preservation Foundation, the Revive 65 Celebration took place right outside of 65 and 69 Phila St., two houses saved by the foundation.

At the event, guests could enjoy free beverages and delicious food while listening to live music performed by singer-songwriter Cassandra Kubinksi. After enjoying some light refreshments, attendees had the opportunity to tour inside 65 Phila St. Inside the building, guests could even see the original demolition plan, recovered pieces of wallpaper, and before and after photos of the building.

Samantha Bosshart, Executive Director of the Saratoga Preservation Foundation, was thrilled to be able to show off the freshly restored building. “We’ve been advocating for the preservation of this building since 1998, and then we were fortunate enough to secure financing and be able to purchase the building and take it this far,” Bosshart said. “It took us three years, and we just wanted to let the community see our work and thank the neighborhood for putting up with all the construction and celebrate the house being completed next store,” she added.

“I’m excited to see a future owner take it all the way to the finish line and make it their own after it being vacant for so long.” While to some, 65 Phila St. may seem .
