On this World Oceans Day, the Royal Caribbean Group is demonstrating its commitment to marine preservation by teaming up with Inter Miami CF to sponsor a six-month series of coral restoration projects via the Rescue a Reef initiative.

This citizen science venture, managed by the University of Miami Rosenstiel School, aims to engage the South Florida community in coral cultivation and reef restoration efforts. This partnership will lead to the cultivation of over a thousand coral colonies by local volunteers, enhancing the reefs close to Miami’s coast. To commemorate the occasion, Royal Caribbean Group along with Rescue a Reef invited Inter Miami midfielder and local resident, Benjamin Cremaschi, to participate in a coral restoration dive.

During the dive, Cremaschi and Nick Rose, the vice president and head of ESG at Royal Caribbean Group, initiated the development of the “Royal Caribbean Group Reef,” a novel site designated for coral research and recovery.
