Rod Stewart is back in Ireland this weekend for a concert at Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin that promises to be a night filled with hit after hit, all delivered in the Scottish troubadour’s unmissable style. The 79-year-old, who is a regular visitor these shores, has been lauded as one of the finest singers of his generation, selling an estimated 250 million records and singles worldwide. His most recent album is Swing Fever, a collaboration with Jools Holland .
Stewart has garnered the music industry’s highest awards over the years, including being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – twice (once as a solo artist and once with 1970s group The Faces). He also managed to make it on to the New York Times bestseller list with his 2012 autobiography Rod. In 2016, he officially became Sir Rod Stewart, after being knighted for his services to music and charity.
