An old interview of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs speaking about domestic violence has emerged in the wake of footage showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Last week surveillance footage from 2016 showed the rapper physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, kicking, dragging, and then throwing an object at her. A few days on, a clip of him on The Ellen Show has been re-shared on social media .

In 2009 Diddy sat down with the talk show host not long after his friend Chris Brown had been accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in a car before the Grammys . ‘I would like you to clear something up because there’s a lot of talk going on with Chris Brown being at your place in Miami, and you arranging Chris and Rihanna getting back together,’ she began as he started making nervous noises. ‘Now, uh, do you want to talk about that?’ she questioned.

‘You see I wouldn’t use my Twitter to talk about that, because that is somebody else’s business,’ he began. After Ellen pointed out how he had offered up his house to give them a space to reconcile, Diddy tried to turn the conversation back to not wanting to speak about the matter on social media, to which Ellen replied: ‘Ok well let’s talk about it.’ ‘There’s clearly a lot of people wondering why you would do that and give Chris, a guy who hit a girl.

..I just don’t understand it?’ she said.

After saying he could offer up his house to whoever he liked, Diddy said he wasn’t someone to .
