Event organiser Trudy-Anne Doyle said the theme for this year’s sewing-bee is as simple as music. Those who purchase a bag will be able to organise its contents and create an outfit in association with a song of their choice.

Despite the official theme for the popular event being Rock ‘n’ Roll Runway, Ms Doyle said any song could be used for models to strut their stuff down the aisle. “We are keeping it as broad as possible so people will just have some fun with it,” Ms Doyle said. “We are not seeking rock and roll songs but it would be good because it is going to be the song the model walks down the runway to.

” She said if the song had more of a “walking beat” to it, it could make for a great show. “We are not going to be restrictive so if people text me their song choice to prevent clashes and help steer in the right direction that is fine,” Ms Doyle said. She said this year the money allowance to spend on outfits has also increased on last year from $10 to $20.
