The weight of expectation always weighs heavily on the club that was chasing a 15th win in Europe’s biggest competition last night, but coach Carlo Ancelotti and his team always find a way to win.

So it proved again as second half goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior secured another title, after their held off a spirited first half assault from Borussia Dortmund to be crowned as kings of Europe once again. Several members of the victorious Real Madrid side won their sixth Champions League title last night, while the inspirational Ancelotti now has his name etched into the record books as a five-time Champions League-winning coach. Of course, we are not surprised as this is what Real Madrid do, but they took time to warm to their test on a cool London evening.

The emotions were flowing in the moments before kick-off at Wembley, with ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ echoing around Wembley Stadium and former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp flashed onto the big screen as he joined in the anthem that has been adopted by support.
