The Australian actress , 44, alleged in an Instagram video last week her movie was set to premiere on the closing night of the 2024 TIFF, but claimed producers Amanda Ghost and Gregor Cameron and executive producer Vince Holden were trying to prevent the comedy's debut at the prestigious event. She also accused the producers of 'bad behaviour' on set and branded them 'vile and disgusting'.

In turn the producers of Wilson's film claimed the allegations are 'false'. Wilson has now announced on Instagram that The Deb will be shown on the closing night of the festival in September. 'Beyond grateful that The Deb will be shared with audiences in Toronto this September!' she wrote on Wednesday.
