Rant and Rave: Reader disappointed with lack of food drive participants

RANT AND RAVE Rave to the U.S. Postal Service for providing an easy way to contribute to the local food banks.

The USPS distributes blue bags for their May food drive. All one has to do is put a couple nonperishable food items in the bag and place it by their mailbox on the second Saturday in May. Easy, right? Rant to how few people participate.

On my morning walk, I counted only six blue bags, and this was in a neighborhood where homes sell for over a million dollars. Come on Seattle, show your generosity! RANT AND RAVE Rant to people who cram their garbage dumpsters so full that crows feast on the overflow and spread their garbage all over the street. Rave to the garbage truck drivers who clean up the mess every week.
