As has been my habit when I am unprepared, or simply too lazy to properly write an article, I will as usual resort to reviewing the goings-on around town in the past as reported in The Cayuga Chief, this week from the edition of April 6, 1878. Let me remind you that The Cayuga Chief was a weekly newspaper published in Weedsport for well over 100 years. The Roll of Honor has been announced for the Weedsport High School — it includes Belle Burritt, Minnie Calhoun, Minnie Eldridge, Nellie Hutchinson, Mae Hoyt, James Grace, Frank Solvay, Ned Gildersleeve, Edward Hudson, John Riley, Harvey Traver, Grace Latimer, Clara Martin and Nellie Van Wagner.
Neither late nor absent for the school year were Herbert Eldridge, Frank Stickle, James Scanlon and Phena Bibbens. Mrs. H.

. A charter election was held Saturday after a preparatory caucus was held Friday eve. On Saturday another caucus was held, called "the people's caucus" by J.
of P. Parsons, who was made chairman of the Republican county convention last fall by John Choate. He was down on the old board and endeavored to nominate others in their places.
