Dylan Buell/Getty Images Las Vegas Raiders defensive lineman Maxx Crosby is only entering the prime of his career, and yet, he already has a football field named after him. Crosby's alma mater, Eastern Michigan, has named its new playing surface at Rynearson Stadium after him. This decision from Eastern Michigan came after Crosby and his wife, Rachel, donated $1 million to their alma mater in late 2023.

Rachel was a soccer player during her college days. "I am a firm believer of the power of education and sports, and personally serve as an example of how they can positively impact both individuals and communities," Crosby said . "By investing in EMU Athletics, I hope to contribute to the growth and development of student-athletes, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to realize their dreams on and off-the-field.

This gift is not just about the present, but also the future of generations of student-athletes who will benefit from enhanced facilities, scholarships, and support systems that will advance the rich history of the Eastern Michigan University athletic program." Eastern Michigan shared a look at "Crosby Field" this Friday . It's truly beautiful.

Eastern Michigan University unveiled “Crosby Field” yesterday, named in honor of Raiders three-time Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby and his wife Rachel. The couple, who met at EMU and were both athletic standouts, made a $1 million donation to the athletic dept. last year.
