EX-RTE star Ryan Tubridy is on holidays in Galway and has showed off the breathtaking views on his trip. The Dublin native host decided to take a short break from his Virgin Radio UK show with Vogue Williams and Angela Scanlon filling in for him while he's away. Ryan has jetted back over to Ireland to soak up the unexpected sun in the west coast.

The 51-year-old has been sharing snippets of his well deserved trip over on Instagram. Yesterday Ryan visited Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden, which he called the "most beautiful part of Connemara". Ryan took in the breathtaking views of the magnificent 1,000-acre estate.

He took a video of himself showing off the castle situated beside Duchruach Mountain, in front of Pollacappul Lake and said: "The greatest Harry Potter location never used!" The dad-of-two explained how perfect the location would have been for the iconic film series saying: "Tell me how they didn't make Harry Potter here? "I want everyone to explain, how did they not come here and make seven films? If there's a new Harry Potter series, which I think there is an episode version of it, please take note. It's beautiful." Today Ryan hiked to Maam Valley and soaked up the sun while sitting on the grass wearing a white t-shirt and sunglasses.

The radio star looked happier than ever as he said: "To think I was considering taking a little holiday to maybe Italy or France and then I said, 'What the hell, why would you do such a thing when your own neighbourhood look.
