Prince Harry recently returned to the U.K. for a three-day visit to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
However, the duke did not see any of his family members while he was in town. Sources in Harry’s camp claim that he wanted to see his father, King Charles , but the monarch was too busy to meet with him. Palace sources though insist that the prince never made a request to see the king.
Now, there are reports that Harry will not give up trying to win back his father’s favor even though the monarch longs for something other than drama during his “twilight years.” King Charles ‘didn’t appreciate’ what Prince Harry did after their last meeting King Charles’ packed schedule when Harry was in London is thought to be the main reason why the two didn’t get to see each other . But longtime royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes there may be another reason why the king didn’t meet with his youngest son.
He opined that the monarch “did not appreciate” something Harry did after their last meeting. “It’s probable the king did not appreciate Harry’s interview on Good Morning America , after they met in February, when he learnt of his father’s diagnosis and when he talked of family unity,” Fitzwilliams told The Mirror . He explained that if the duke would visit the U.
K. and ensure that whatever they talked about would remain private, Chares would surely see him saying: “If Harry would come to Britain privately, arranging a meeting .
