DUBLIN Airport has announced it's latest addition to its major food offerings. Beloved Irish fast-food restaurant Supermacs has officially opened its doors in Terminal Two. The airport announced that the latest food outlet at the airport is located just beside the arrivals area.
Located next to the recently opened American pizza chain Papa John's, it has taken the spot where Wright’s of Howth once stood. The restaurant's opening comes after DAA's announcement earlier this year that 23 new bars, cafes and restaurants were set to open across both terminals. Half of the new units are set to be opened by June ahead of the busy summer period as new food outlets have been appearing since January.
Along with Supermacs, Papa John's, Insomnia Coffee and Pret A Manger all announced they were coming to Dublin Airport this year. Others set to join include Nomad, Street Kitchen, and Bluebird Coffee Roasters. Places in Dublin Airport like Butler's Chocolate Cafe, Burger King and Jump Juice are all getting a revamp also.
Terminal one is also seeing major changes as new Korean and Thai street food options, a new Italian restaurant, and a new Arthur Guinness Bar are all on the way. The existing SoMa outlet is also set to be replaced by a new restaurant Lilian’s Restaurant and Bar at the 300 gates. When announcing the expansion, Vincent Harrison, Chief Commercial and Development Officer at daa, said: "Passengers are in for a treat in 2024 with a whole host of exciting new additions and imp.
