Police requested the public’s help in identifying a man who assaulted a cyclist Sunday in downtown Boulder. According to the Boulder Police Department’s post, on Sunday night a Boulder resident was riding his bike east on Walnut Street near Ninth Street when an unidentified man walking westbound stuck his arm out parallel to the ground, almost as if he was going to clothesline the cyclist. The cyclist was unable to stop and the man then made an uppercut motion, striking the cyclist in the face, according to the post.

The victim was able to get a video of the suspect who continued walking on Walnut Street, stopping cars and yelling at them. People should be able to freely walk around this beautiful city without being attacked. Sadly, that’s just what happened last night when a Boulder community member was riding his bike east on Walnut Street near 9th Street.
