For those that weren’t walking around with chalky-coloured lips in the noughties, the trend involves applying a small amount of concealer over your lips to match your skin tone You can even add a small amount of lip gloss on top, just so they don’t look so matte. While you might be having flashbacks to secondary school, the nostalgic look is already trending on Tiktok in recent months. Beauty influencer @rachelray32 even shared that she’d been ‘obsessed’ with the lip look, as she shared a now-viral how-to on the app.
“I am obsessed with putting concealer on my lips,” she gushed, as she swept a ‘dab’ of concealer over her lips. Of course, not everyone is convinced by the returning trend. In fact, comedian Erin Miller was so horrified by the returning trend that she decided to make an entire skit about it.
Stitching the beauty guru, she hilariously filmed herself with mascara running down her face as she help a tub of an iconic lip gloss.
