The outdoor concert series is back with Madness taking to the stage on July 19, Pete Tong Ibiza Classics on July 20, Elbow on July 21, and Flackstock returning to the Berkshire venue on July 22. Kicking off the weekend, Madness will be putting on a show teeming with hits from the nutty boys’ unrivalled back catalogue along with songs from the new album ‘Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est la Vie’, which on Friday became the band’s first studio album to top the UK Album Charts. With their huge singles such as ‘One Step Beyond’, ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘House of Fun’, ‘Our House’, and more, Madness have become one of the most celebrated British bands of all-time since their emergence from Camden Town in the 1970s.
Amongst many awards the band have received, in 2000 they were awarded an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection. The show will see them joined by special guests Lightning Seeds and the Old Time Sailors. Moving into Saturday, July 20, revered DJ, broadcaster and global dance music legend, Pete Tong will bring his Ibiza Classics show to Englefield.
