The volume of personal service provided in Romania increased by 0.1 seasonally adjusted in the first four months of 2024, y-o-y, according to data published on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). In January and April 2024, the growth in personal services, unadjusted, was influenced by washing and (dry-)cleaning of textile and fur products (+8.
2%) and gambling and other recreational activities (+1.2%). On the other hand, decreases were recorded in hairdressing and other beauty treatment (-14.
5%), the activities of travel agencies and tour operators (-7.6%) and the activities of hotels and restaurants (-0.2%).
