Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been crowned Premier League Manager of the Season after successfully guiding Manchester City to their fourth Premier League title in a row, becoming the first manager to attain this climax. He beat close rivals Mikel Arteta, Jurgen Klopp, Andoni Iraola, and Unai Emery after another tremendous season with the Citizens. This season marks his fifth time winning the accolade (2017/18, 2018/19, 2020/21, 2022/23, and 2023/24) out of the eight seasons he has been in charge at the Etihad Stadium.
His haul of six titles is the joint-second most among all coaches in the storied history of the English game. In his tenure with City, Guardiola has won 225 of his 304 Premier League matches and secured his 17th major trophy at City, and his 38th in total in 15 seasons as a manager. Upon receiving the prize, Guardiola said: “It’s an honour to have been chosen by the Premier League as the Manager of the Season.
“This award reflects the hard work and excellence of the people at the Club in all departments. “I am so proud to be manager of this group of players and to work alongside the brilliant coaches and support staff every day. “Winning four titles in a row is one of the proudest achievements of my career.
This is the toughest league in the world, and our competitors have played some incredible football. “When I arrived in England, I would never have thought that together we could win six Premier Leagues in seven years. “We have done some.
