No matter how often you fly, it seems like there's always something new to learn about planes. There are several parts of a plane passengers don't know anything about, such as a 'secret' places where the cabin crew rest on long-haul flights. According to a flight attendant, there's also a little-known button which is located underneath the arm rest, which lets you move it up and down.
But now it turns out there's another 'hidden' foot pedal which passengers are only just learning about - and it's a real game changer for when you go to the toilet. Much to the glee of the hygiene-conscious, the pedal, which can be pressed with your feet, means you don't have to use your hands when you throw things into the bin. Everyone who has used a toilet on a plane will know it's not the most pleasant place.
Often the bin, which you have to throw paper towels in after you've washed your hands, is located by the sink. Most people push the lid down with their hands when throwing things away - but it turns out you don't need to. Taking to TikTok, one plane passenger shared the hack "for the people who don't know".
"Hack. Surely I'm not the only person who just learnt about this," they added in the video. Filming inside the toilet of a plane, the person behind the @3rfa9 account could be seen pushing a pedal, located near the floor.
Writing in the video, they said: "The bin is always for for me, and I hate touching the bin. Did you know about it?" And it turns out they weren't the only person w.
