Born and raised in Darbhanga, Durgesh Kumar finished his education there before relocating to Delhi. He managed to attend the National School of Drama and teach in a school. Durgesh relocated to Mumbai in search of more prospects to pursue a profession in acting.
Despite this promising beginning, he endured years of hardship, receiving several rejections and only being cast in small roles. The actor, who is reprising his role from the second season of the show, received immense love on social media. As the actor soaks in success, he recalled his difficult time when he had to work on an adult film.

Speaking to DNA, he said, “I can’t live without acting. So, I did any work that came my way because I was confident in my abilities.
We are getting work now, which is a big deal. Else, where would we fit? Nobody takes us in the maar-dhaad wale shows (action genre). At least with comedy, we get these chances so it feels very good.
