” Matthew Bailey was all smiles as he pushed the button that dumped gallons of water on a group of students, instructors and one school board member Wednesday. Bailey, a Northview IB student diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this year, was the beneficiary of a new fundraising trend that has been exploding across the country — the Cold Water Challenge. Those accepting the challenge Wednesday were students in the fire academy and health sciences classes at the Career Academy and Technical School in Troutman.
