The Rotary Club of Statesville Fourth Creek recently presented a check for $1,000 to Friends of the Animals to help build a pet education and adoption center. The organization’s mission is to promote responsible pet ownership, provide low-cost spay/neuter services and promote the adoption of homeless pets. The new center will be located off Interstate 77 Exit 31 in Mooresville.
(7/9) Iredell County Manager, Ron Smith, cuts the ribbon on Iredell County 2-1-1, a phone service aimed at pointing folks in the right direction on a vast range of topics. A group of community leaders gathered Wednesday near the entrance of the Government Center in downtown Statesville to cut the ceremonial ribbon on a kind of “one-stop-shopping” assistance phone line that has begun service in Iredell County. The program is called Iredell County 211 and is largely sponsored by the United Way of Iredell County.
