Action-thriller series 24, which starred Kiefer Sutherland , is reportedly being adapted into a film more than 20 years after it premiered. Kiefer played counter-terrorist federal agent Jack Bauer in the classic action drama, which ran over nine seasons between 2001 and 2014. Each season covered 24 hours in real-time and followed Bauer preventing fatal attacks in North America and the UK.

A decade after the final season Live Another Day, which was set in London , bosses have decided to revisit Bauer and turn 24 into a movie. According to Variety , 20th Century Studios is working on a big-screen adaptation, and the project is ‘in early development.’ However, plot details are currently being kept under wraps and it’s not yet known if Kiefer will return.
