Heidi Martin STANDISH – Heidi Martin, 68, daughter of Richard and Muriel Dow, was born in Portland on March 4, 1956. She lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Friday, June 14, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She grew up in Deering Center and was a graduate of Deering High School.
On Jan. 31, 1976, she married the love of her life and life partner, Brian Martin. Together, they welcomed three children, Jason, Nicole and Brandon.
They were also instrumental in raising their grandson, Dylan. On Jan. 27, 2001, they celebrated 25 years of marriage by renewing their vows in front of friends and family.
Heidi loved cooking, holidays, family events and travel with family, especially Disney World. Family and friends were always welcome in Heidi’s home. Heidi, her kids and her mother were season ticket holders for the Maine Marriner Hockey team for years.
Hiedi drove school buses for several years, including driving sports teams to games all over Southern Maine. Heidi was employed as a Travel Representative for over 35 years. Specializing in the cruise industry, she and Brian had the opportunity to cruise many of the most beautiful destinations in the Caribbean Islands, Florida and Mexico.
Heidi was predeceased by her parents; brother, Terry; daughter, Desiree; and in-laws Brad and Mary Martin. She is survived by her loving partner and husband, Brian; son, Jason, his wife Melissa and grandchildren Penelope and Chloe; daughter, Nicole and grandson Dylan; and son, Brandon.
