Sunday, July 14, 2024 The Oakland Board of Port Commissioners unanimously appointed Michael Colbruno as the new Board President. Andreas Cluver took over as First Vice President, succeeding Yui Hay Lee, while Barbara Leslie, the outgoing President, was elected Second Vice President. Michael Colbruno initially joined the Port Commission in 2013 and is now embarking on his second term as President.
He previously held the role of Board President from July 2016 to July 2017. Additionally, he served two terms as Second Vice President, first from July 2015 to 2016 and then from July 2018 to July 2019. Notably, Colbruno is among a small number of openly-gay members on the board of a major U.
S. seaport. Beyond his role at the Port Commission, Michael Colbruno is a partner at California’s Milo Group, specializing in government affairs and public advocacy.
