WHEN it comes to cleaning around the house - we all have our own bizarre hacks we use. But one woman has left the internet horrified after revealing she puts her dirty toilet seat in the dishwasher . Her confession came after one cleaning enthusiast asked for recommendations on cleaning her yellow-stained loo seat.
The woman took to social media sharing a picture of the toilet asking what product was best to use. She wrote: "Does anyone know what is causing the yellow discolour on the toilet and is there a way to get it out without buying a new one?" That's sick Plenty of people took to the comments to share some cleaning advice. One suggested: "We have this toilet, it's done exactly the same thing.
"I take it off and soak it in the bath over night with biological washing powder." "Use Viakal I was ready to chuck mine after trying everything and sprayed Viakal on it left it for 10 mins or so and back to white," another recommended. However one cleaning fan's hack left people mortified and feeling 'sick'.
She recommended: "Take mine off and put it in the dishwasher. By itself. Comes up a treat!" The post was shared in the Facebook group Stacey Solomon Inspired DIY, Organising, Fashion & Home Tips And Tricks and soon raked in hundreds of likes and comments.
But the woman's comment on putting it in the dishwasher caused outcry in the comments. One person wrote: "OMG not feeling that at all." Another commented: "Oh I couldn't put mine in where my cups go lol.
