Kennedy Seniors’ Recreation Centre turns 50 this year, as North Delta residents are invited to celebrate and check out all the facility has to offer during an upcoming six-day open house. To celebrate Seniors’ Week June 3-8, the Kennedy will host free drop-in activities, workshops, information booths and lunch specials for area residents aged 50 and older, with door prize and raffle draws all week long. On Monday, the Kennedy will be put on a BBQ to mark the centre’s 50th anniversary, with burger and fries prepared by the North Delta Lions Club.
There will be three ticketed seatings for the lunch: 11 to 11:45 a.m., 12 to 12:45 p.
m., and 1 to 1:45 p.m.
Tickets are free for members and $5 for non-members, available at or by calling the front desk at 604-594-2717. As well, there will be a cake cutting from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
