A POPULAR Irish takeaway has confirmed its temporary closure for a very special reason. Little Fish chipper confirmed the news to customers after appearing on RTE show Takeaway Titans. Taking to social media, the Galway based chipper had fans rushing to congratulate them as they announced the reason for the closure .
The chipper is run by couple Eva Caulwell and Tom Mullen in Connemara. Sharing the news they said: "Thanks for a great Bank Holiday weekend. "We're closed until Thursday 13 of June - we are off to get married!!!" Customer were quick to send their well wishes to the happy couple.
One wrote: "Ah no way ! congratulations to the best and most hardworking couple." Another said: "Congratulations to you both and I hope you have a fabulous time this week." Another added: "Massive Congrats Eva, hope you guys have a wonderful wedding! Best wishes.
" The takeaway is a family affair because, as well as being run by soon-to-be husband and wife, all logos and bunting are designed by Eva's sisters. The spot is hugely popular in Galway for its fish and chips and tasty seafood. The couple and the restaurant had recently featured on RTE show Takeaway Titans .
The 2022 show was hosted by Carl Mullans and James Kavanagh. The popular show featured a different takeaway style each week with a judging panel ordering and giving chefs a certain amount of time to make the dish. Dublin restaurant Janet's ended up winning the competition.
