More info After a chaotic first day following the Tartan Army in Munich, I struggled to drift off to sleep until the early hours of Thursday morning. What a buzz to be thrown in amongst the carnage of colour - but every time I would nearly nod off another rendition of 'no Scotland, no party' would enter my head, it was like torture. Despite the lack of sleep though, it didn't take me long to get back into the swing of things on Thursday morning as the Scots returned to the Marienplatz first thing.

There wasn't a hint of a hangover in sight, just hundreds of Scots back exactly where we left them - sipping steins and singing songs at every corner of the square. The world's media joined us on Thursday, capturing the incredible scenes - and one of the most poignant moments was when dozens of camera crew battled it out to get the first glimpse of Craig Ferguson as he completed his trek from Glasgow to Munich. The inspirational Scot was overwhelmed as he was interviewed by journalists from all around the world.

No one got as good a response as the Record, though, when we asked him what he planned to do now - answering proudly in true Scottish fashion: "I'm off to get mad with it!" Quite right .
