Nickelodeon unveiled the nominations for the Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA) 2024 including 50 first-time nominees in film, television, music and sports. Nominees for the Favorite Asian Act category are ENHYPEN, Iman Troye, NiziU, SB19 and Tiara Andini. In the Global category, BLACKPINK got nominated for Global Music Star while BlackPink: BornPink Tour is nominated for Favorite Ticket of the Year.
ENHYPEN (X) BLACKPINK (X) SB19 (X) First-time international nominees include Halle Bailey, Austin Butler, Sabrina Carpenter, Kai Cenat, Timothée Chalamet, Luke Combs, Ariana DeBose, Ayo Edebiri, Ryan Gosling, Reneé Rapp, Margot Robbie, and Paul Rudd. Taylor Swift got the most nominations with six followed by Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé with four each. The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 will be held on July 13 and hosted live by SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) from their undersea home of Bikini Bottom.
The Slime-filled, immersive broadcast marks the first time animated characters will host a full-length awards show, and commences an array of multiplatform initiatives for one of the most popular characters and beloved animated series of all time. This year’s show will have enhanced graphics, high-tech motion capture and augmented reality, fun celebrity collaborations and stunts as Nickelodeon celebrates SpongeBob SquarePants’ special birthday, and of course – Nickelodeon’s signature orange blimp awa.
