TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Plans to bring another Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort to Florida are underway. Lion Star, Paramount and Everest Place announced they are building the hotel in Kissimmee.
DT Minich, the president of Experience Kissimmee, told NBC affiliate WESH that the new hotel is being built from the ground up, unlike the previous Nickelodeon Hotel. The new hotel will feature Nickelodeon’s beloved franchises, including “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “PAW Patrol,” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” “This ones going to have all kinds of bells and whistles.
I’m sure there’s going to be slime involved somewhere, but it’s going to be an amazing new type of accommodation for us,” Minich said. According to Minich, the hotel will have more than 400 hotel rooms, four restaurants, a pool and other amenities. “We really have something for everyone.
Every type of vacation, from budgeted economical hotels, up to five-star resorts like Gaylord and Omni. We have the funky, fun Margaritaville and all the different name brands in between,” Minich said. “This will be a new type of product, because it’s so geared towards the kids.
” The hotel will be located on a more than 200-arce property called Everest Place off of US 192 near State Road 429. “There’s going to be two other hotels out there, plus a huge variety of shopping and dining around these beautiful man-made lakes, great ambiance,” Minich said. Work has already begun on the hotel.
It is set to open.
