Under its agreement to develop the 250-kilometer BSA route, Alstom handled all elements of the design, installation, testing, and commissioning processes. The upgrade incorporates a cutting-edge SIL 4 electronic interlocking signalling system called the IXL SmartLock 400 GP solution, ensuring utmost safety and dependability.

The system is further supported by robust SCADA technology and a support framework that guarantees consistently high operational performance and availability. Features such as Alstom’s renowned Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) system, the TLC system, and a 11kV power supply substation enhance the management of the network, providing comprehensive, user-friendly controls.
