A travel influencer has shared her unsettling experience of staying at an "abandoned" hotel in Italy with no staff. Going by Universal Corner on TikTok , where she boasts more than 59,000 followers, the woman explained in a video last week that she was staying in a hotel in Cagliari, on the island of Sardinia. The video, which has been viewed more than 73,000 times, showcases the empty hotel and its old-fashioned décor.

Although the hotel doesn't look out of the ordinary, the influencer explained how she was the only guest there with no staff for most of her stay. She said: "It's pretty much just me and some gentlemen who have just arrived, they had booked in advance and there was no one to welcome them because everything is closed. There is no one here.

" The TikToker did say there was someone at the hotel when she arrived to give her a key. They told her "everything was going to be closed", but she couldn't quite believe just how empty it was. She continued: "There is a restaurant downstairs which is closed [.

..] The hotel is totally empty.

" She also took viewers around her room, which she explained was messy as she was leaving in the morning. She said: "It looks like a room in my grandmother's house. This is like my grandmother's old wardrobe.

This is the bathroom. It only has one mini lamp." Despite all this, the most surprising part of her stay was that all the rooms were left "open".
