A man is refusing to go to his rich friend's wedding after discovering how much it would cost him. Weddings are notoriously expensive, with the average UK ceremony totalling up to more than £20,000 once you've factored in the venue, dress, food, and entertainment. When it comes to 'destination' weddings - aka where people travel to an often abroad location to tie the knot - this can be even more expensive.
