Culture | Music Sir Keir Starmer has been urged to boost jobs, growth and opportunity in the UK music industry following Labour’s general election victory. Tom Kiehl, chief executive of UK Music , the trade body which represents the collective interests of the UK music industry, called on the “music-loving” Labour leader to help reverse the decline in music teachers and bolster the sector. He said: ”UK Music sends its congratulations to Sir Keir Starmer and his team on their election victory, which gives his new government a resounding mandate for change.
